Some ALPINE LEGENDS! From BRAUEREI GUSSWERK
We had another visit from the Beer Elves this week and this time they brought a batch of beer from the Brauerei Gusswerk in Salzburg Austria! So in true yeti fashion we checked these bad boys out!Austrian Amber AleThis one is by far the best! It has a hoppy very floral aroma, with strong hints of citrus. The hoppy character of this brew carries through in the flavour, but it's very light at the same time and goes down smoothly with a hint of bitterness. The flavours work perfectly together.flavours work perfectly together.Black BettyA deep black brew but it's surprisingly light in character. It has a shandy-like aroma and a sweet nutty flavour with a little bitter fizz to it. Nice Brew!nice mellow aftertaste that leaves you wanting another sip.OktobergussThis is definitely the second on the score board! Citrusy aroma which matches the colour. Has a nice bitter sweetness to the flavour, also very citrusy, beautiful brew!nice bitter sweetness to the flavour, also very citrusy, beautiful brew!Horny BettyThis is a brownish ale with a wheaty aroma and hints of ginger. It has a fiery ginger flavour to it, that warms the belly and has a slight bitter ending. Definitely one for the winter!JakobsgoldVery citrusy aroma with a light wheaty flavour and hints of orange. This one is very much like a Belgium white and maybe would have been even better with a slice of orange!SteinbierStienbier has a light hoppy aroma with a tangy, fizzy flavour. A bit rustic but very vibrant and puts a smile on your face.Black SheepA deep black brew. It has a chocolate/ coffee aroma that is carried though into the flavour, followed by a nice mellow aftertaste that leaves you wanting another sip.nice bitter sweetness to the flavour, also very citrusy, beautiful brew!Wiener LagerCitrus aroma, with hints of vanilla. Very light flavour with a smoked wheat essence, definitely a unique brew.Weisses' Nicobar IPACitrus/ wheaty flavour with a slight tang, quite refreshing. So definitely a "hats off" Brauerei Gusswerk from the BeerYeti team!
