"Tap Into Summer" will feature 21 of Maine's most notable breweries, including Geaghan Brothers Brewing, Sea Dog Brewing, Gearys, Belfast Bay Brewery, Penobscot Bay Brewery, Black Bear Microbrew, Gritty McDuff's, Atlantic Brewing and the list goes on.On the first day of summer each year, along the bank of the Penobscot River, Bangor’s Beer Festival: “Tap into Summer” brings together Maine brewers for an afternoon of tasting delicious local brews, talking with other beer geeks about the beer world, eating from local food vendors, and listening to incredible local talent!“Tap Into Summer” has featured selections from some of Maine’s most notable breweries, including Geaghan Brothers Brewing Company, Sea Dog Brewing Company, Shipyard, Belfast Bay Brewery, Penobscot Bay Brewery, Black Bear Microbrew, Gritty McDuff’s, Marshall Wharf Brewing Company, and the list goes on! The VIP tasting session offers a premiere brew only available to VIP attendees at the festival. This session allows brewers to talk with other beer geeks about their special brews, suggested pairings, and the beer-making process.What’s so special about Bangor? And, what’s all this talk about Paul Bunyan? Bangor has become a mecca for entertainment, food, and more importantly, BEER! Where else are you going to find four award winning breweries within a 15 mile radius? Who’s this Paul Bunyan guy? He’s Bangor’s giant lumberjack mascot. We’re not joking! A 31 foot 3,700 pound statue of Paul will greet you when you arrive in Bangor.
