Top Summer Brews 2018!
So guys, when it comes to the weather, so far so good! Of course there’s been a little bit of rain along the way but it wouldn’t be Britain without it! We have another decent bit of sunshine on the way, which means that it’s time for the BeerYeti Top Summer Brews! SweetWater Brewing Company – TripleTail (IPA, 5.5%)
From the brewery that formed in Atlanta Georgia back in 1997 by Freddy Bensch and Kevin McNerny, this brew has just launched in the UK! Brewed with Bravo, Mosaic, Denali, Citra and Waimea, this lush hop-forward IPA won the bronze medal at the GABF in the category IPA.
Appearance: Light golden, with a moderate head that reduces, leaving a slightly hazy brew with plenty of bubbles.Aroma: Sweet honey, with a hint of sweet passionfruit and pineapple, balanced out by a touch of bitter tangerine, finished off by a slight pine underlay.Flavour: Slightly herbal, with a blast of tropical fruit, finished off by a dash of orange peel.Very fruity, perfect for sipping on a tropical island!Available to purchase from Vertical drinks here!For more info, check out their Website, Facebook, Twitter & Instagram.
Hop Stuff Brewery – Four Hour Session (IPA, 4.2%)
“Inspired by the Royal Arsenal in Woolwich, where Hop Stuff was born. This is the historic site where ammunition and artillery were made for WWI and II. It was a bleak time, so workers were permitted ‘four hour sessions’ of beer to boost morale – without getting steamed.”
Appearance: Amber with a slight haze, fair few bubble and a moderate frothy head that reduces quickly, leaving a nice layer of lacing on the surface.Aroma: A blast of fresh hoppiness, met by a touch of maltiness, citrus and tangerine. Also some delicate fruity-floral notes, including sweet, sugary poached pears.Flavour: Sweet golden syrup that is counterbalanced by a dash of bitter orange peel and dry hops, not too overpowering and lingering very nicely after each sip after each sip.Very easy and exceptionally session-able, you can have plenty and not hit the deck with this one!Available to purchase here!For more info, check out their Website, Facebook, Twitter & Instagram.
Reunion Ales – Jump-Start (Pale Ale, 4.0%)
From the brewery in West London that was established in 2015 and with a mission to create beers that are big on flavour and faithful to style.
Appearance: Deep hazy amber, with a dense, white, fluffy head. This brew got our taste buds tingling, while we watched the bubbles slowly rising to the surface!Aroma: Bursting with citrusy sweetness and tropical fruit, mellowed down by a touch of pine.Flavour: Sweet and juicy, with a splash of citrus fruit, finished off with a bitter, hoppy finish.Light and very refreshing with a simple recipe which is not too overpowering. Hepworth & Co Brewers Ltd –Sussex (Pale Ale, 3.5%)
Skilfully blended with Sussex grown barley and malt. Organic, gluten free and vegan too!
Appearance: Amber with a moderate head that reduces leaving a fair amount of lacing on the surface.Aroma: Rich red berry fruit complemented by a touch of wheat and digestive biscuit.Flavour: A slight maltiness met by a touch of sweet wheat that works perfectly with the earthy, bitter, hoppy finish.Very crisp and clean, maintaining plenty of character. Belhaven Brewery – Twisted Grapefruit (IPA, 5.3%)
“Brewed with 100% Scottish malt hand hopped with Mandarina Bavaria for robust bitterness and fresh grapefruit smashed in.”

Harvey’s Brewery – Wharf IPA (IPA, 4.8%)
“Brewed with new hop varieties to create a joyful outpouring of fresh flavours from the bine.”

Five Points Brewing co. – Pils (Pilsner, 4.8%)
The Five Points spent 9 months working on and developing a recipe and brew they were happy with. The result: a modern version on this classic lager style, brewed and dry-hopped with traditional Noble hops!

Innis & Gunn – Mangoes on the Run (IPA, 5.6%)
Just launched in June, Innis & Gunn’s new Mangoes on the Run IPA the fruitiest number they’ve ever brewed, with a cracking combo of hops and shed loads of mangoes!
Appearance: Clear amber, with a few bubbles and a dense frothy head.Aroma: Malty, with a touch of raspberry, mangoes and pine.Flavour: Exceptionally sweet, with a cracking mix of mangoes, a dash of strawberries and sugary sweetness… almost like a sweet jam doughnut. Velvet Owl – My Friend, The Lizard (New England Saison, 4.7%)
Brewed in celebration for the launch of their new premises, collaborating with RT Ales and Space Cadet Brewing Co.

Gorgeous Brewery - Goofyhoof (Pacific Pale Ale 4.6%)
Based in the heart of Highgate London, Gorgeous Brewery is family run. They use little automation, putting a lot of care and hard work into producing every gorgeous pint. They're vegan friendly too!
