So Christmas has ended, rather quickly! It’s the time of year where things seem slightly blue, so down at the Yeti Cave we’ve decided to brighten things up a little by cracking open some of the the hottest IPAs to look out for in 2017!..
Stroud - I.P.A. Pale Ale 5.6% abv
Brewed with organic New Zealand motueka and cascade hops.[su_row][su_column size="1/2"][/su_column] [su_column size="1/2"]Appearance: Light amber/ straw with a slight haze and very thin head that laces but doesn't completely go away. The Chiltern Brewery - Black IPA 7.8% abv
This is part of The Chiltern Brewery's intriguing Black and White IPA combo! It's a limited edition, bottle conditioned and aged for 18 months, recommended to "enjoy with red meats, strong cheeses and pulses."[su_row][su_column size="1/2"][/su_column] [su_column size="1/2"]Appearance: Dark with a slight reddy tinge and thick beige head that quickly reduces.Aroma: Slightly hoppy, with hints of cut grass followed by a fruity combination of liquorice, raisin, berries and brown sugar.Flavour: A cracking mix of spiced fruit and fig, finished off with a slight hoppiness and a treacle sweetness in the finish.Quite a party in the mouth![/su_column][/su_row]Available to purchase here!For more info, check out their Website, Facebook, Twitter & Instagram.
Lacons - Quell 5.4% abv
Love the description... a "Slightly misted golden IPA. Aptly named to ‘quell’ the thirst of avid beer drinkers that are seeking something unique, interesting and different to the norm. Its name pays homage to a period in our history when Lacons was nearly silenced forever at the hands of a corporate takeover."[su_row][su_column size="1/2"][/su_column] [su_column size="1/2"]Appearance: Slightly clouded light amber/ golden, pours a frothy head that reduces slowly but stays with you and leaves a fair bit of lacing. Pretty carbonated.Aroma: Golden biscuit/ brown sugar with nice citrusy underlay and a pleasant touch of vanilla.Flavour: The vanilla/ biscuity sweetness is followed through with a nice little hint of sweet watermelon, counterbalanced by a citrusy bitterness in the finish.[/su_column][/su_row]VERY refreshing with lots of character!As you can probably see from the Greater Anglia Trains logo on the can, this brew is also available on their Norwich – London trains, so we'll definitely be planning a couple of trips on this line!It's also available on keg in selected pubs too.For more info, check out their Website, Facebook and Twitter.
Anarchy Brew Co - Knuckle Dragger IPA - 8.3% abv
With picture of British Bare Knuckle Boxer James Figg on the bottle, this one has a cracking little tale on the side but we'll let you read it once you've grabbed one! ;)[su_row][su_column size="1/2"][/su_column] [su_column size="1/2"]Appearance: Pours a cloudy amber/copper colour, with a minimal head, very carbonated.Aroma: Punchy, sweet tropical fruit, pineapple, grapefruit, watermelon with a slight hoppy underlay and hunt of fruity fig.Flavour: The tropical notes of the aroma are carried through into the flavour, with a rich malty backbone, finished off with a mega-hoppy finish (90 IBU's)![/su_column][/su_row]Epic brew, with a cracking bitter-sweet combo going on!Available to purchase here!For more info, check out their Website, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Pirate Life Brewing - IPA 6.8%
This next brew comes from Pirate Life Brewing in Adelaide, Australia. They have just increased distribution by seven fold and are now gracing British shores! This brew recently came 5th in GABS Hottest 100 Aussie Craft Beers and their refrigerated supply chain ensures that their beers stay Ozzie Fresh![su_row][su_column size="1/2"][/su_column] [su_column size="1/2"]Appearance: Cloudy amber with a slightly off-white head that thins and reminisces on the surface.Aroma: Quite floral, with a very tropical feel with hints of fresh pine and passion fruit.Flavour: The aroma follows through into the flavour giving those beautiful tropical notes some action on your taste buds, with a citrusy blast of passion fruit and fresh fruit.
