Charity bike ride #BrumBW17!

What an EPIC day!

So the charity bike ride which was part of #BrumBW17 went ahead as planned on Saturday and we had such a cracking time. A big thanks to James (Cycle Birmingham), Lisa (MyBikeAdventure), Sally (Vegan in Brum), Darren (Two Towers Brewery), Paul (Thousand Trades Brewing), Paul (Birmingham Brewing Company) and OF COURSE everyone who turned out to support the event… we never thought it would sell out![su_row][su_column size="1/2]Picture from the beer bike ride in Birmingham taking a tour of thousand trades brewing company, two towers and Birmingham Brewing Company[/su_column] [su_column size="1/2"]The ride, in aid of Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, started at the Two Towers Brewery where Darren Campbell kicked off with some history about the brewery and the pub, a Grade II listed building dating back to around 1820.[/su_column][/su_row][su_row][su_column size="1/2]Picture from the beer bike ride in Birmingham taking a tour of thousand trades brewing company, two towers and Birmingham Brewing Company[/su_column] [su_column size="1/2"]We then took the Grand Union Canal up to Thousand Trades Brewing Co, where we were met by head brewer Paul Scrivens, other friendly faces and some EPIC SAMOSAS! Paul gave us the low down on the ingredients that Thousand Trades use while brewing their beers.[/su_column][/su_row]We then joined the shire country park followed by a bit more canal arriving slightly late to an already heaving Birmingham Brewing Company (puncture)![su_row][su_column size="1/2]Picture from the beer bike ride in Birmingham taking a tour of thousand trades brewing company, two towers and Birmingham Brewing Company[/su_column] [su_column size="1/2"]Greeted by a fantastic half of “Gold Brummie”, brewer Paul Harwood then gave us a short talk about the brewing process. The brewery usually closes at 5pm, but they were kind enough to let us hang around buying more of their amazing brews until 6pm![/su_column][/su_row]So all in all a fab mix of beer and biking! In case you missed out, do not fear as there are rumblings of a “part deux”, potentially with more breweries involved, so watch this space!
