Catford Beer Festival is making a triumphant return!

Following last year’s sell out event the Catford Beer Festival is making a triumphant return from Friday 8th to Sunday 10th June 2018.This pre-world cup festival will showcase over 70 beers and ciders from local brewers at the Catford Bridge Tavern and our confirmed brewery line-up includes the Brockley Brewing Company, Bexley Brewery, Southwark Brewing, Old Kent Road, Hop Stuff, Three Sods, Bianca Road and Ignition Brewery.This year’s event will also include tastings and musings from beer geek Alexandra Sewell of Black Malt, extolling the virtues of beers of a darker hue.[su_row][su_column size="1/2"][/su_column] [su_column size="1/2"][/su_column][/su_row]Line your stomachs with local street food superstars White Men Can’t Jerk offering lip smacking Caribbean food with a twist. There's all day entertainment from local DJ 7 Inch Vince playing the best in dub, ska and reggae alongside DJ Sue spinning the best in rhythm n blues, psych, Motown and Northern soul.[su_row][su_column size="1/2"][/su_column] [su_column size="1/2"][/su_column][/su_row]Anna Lancefield of CAMRA said "When Team Catford approached us to revive the Catford Beer Festival last year after 15 years, we didn't know what to expect. In particular, many people had fond memories of the old beer festival and we didn't know how they would react to a festival that featured beer in kegs, cans and bottles alongside traditional cask. However, the festival was hugely popular with people of all ages trying a variety of beers and ciders. The three days passed by in a blur but the atmosphere was fantastic and the bar was pretty much drunk dry. It's great that we have so many fantastic local South London breweries and this year's festival will be even bigger and better!’[su_row][su_column size="1/2"][/su_column] [su_column size="1/2"]Limited edition festival glasses, posters and t-shirts will be available to buy as well as Catford Pride – the festival's very own bespoke lager made by the Brockley Brewing Company.
